|  Kingston City Council decided upon updating some of the design elements on their intranet and these have been applied to their live intranet site on Monday 6th July.
AusSoft's Graphic Designer consulted closely with Chris Annable, Kingston's Online Communications Officer to achieve their desired end result.
Chris shares his thoughts on the redesign process; 'When we decided it was time to update our internal Intranet homepage, I produced some mock-up drafts and presented them to AusSoft. My goal was to introduce some new concepts to improve the theme, navigation and layout whilst maintaining enough familiarity to ensure the upgrade would hit the ground running. During this process, I also took the opportunity to upgrade our site to the very latest version.
Every idea in my redesign was successfully constructed by Lucie and the AusSoft team. The main challenge put forward was the ability to add dynamic icons to the website banner - this feature not only improved navigation but looks great as well!
I have received only positive feedback throughout the design phase and since the site went live. As expected, there have been a few hiccups along the way, but overall I would not hesitate to call this redesign a success'.
